At the risk of sounding too comfortable in my own echo chamber, it was great to read a critique of this film that I wholeheartedly agree with. I was screaming from the proverbial rooftops at the end of this one. No! Why the hard turn at the end? After the great performances of Plemons and Stone, the third act fell flat.

Hmmm… a bit of a bummer that this one didn’t pan out as well as the trailers made it look. Chris Pratt and Sci-fi is an immediate draw for me and my wife, but we’ll have to see if we ever get around to this one. If it comes out on DVD, I’m sure we’ll rent it from the local place (don’t have Amazon Prime, so that option is out haha).

The trailer looks horrible. I watched Jem as a kid too, and even though I don’t remember everything about it, it seems like the music would have been way better than this cheesy top 40 pop nonsense. I was really excited when I heard the movie was being made, but this is disappointing.
